28/9/2012 Update

Hi All.

Well after a total of 10 weeks in hospital and rehab, Kirsten finally came home yesterday! Big step? Yes! Big changes for us? Yep! But we’ll  get through it and we will work really hard to make it as easy as possible for her.

Josh also got home from 3 weeks in Japan today, so it has been a big week.

What’s next? Well, we still don’t really know. Kirsten will continue to have rehab, but we will visit them and at the moment it will be once a week. If we can get some more we will.

Her back is a massive handbrake at the moment and she is going to physio this afternoon to try and get it right. Physio, I hear you ask? Yes, in hospital the physios are not allowed to manipulate! Stupid, hey! But that is the system!

Her treatment, as I’ve already explained, is ongoing and she will have further ongoing tests in the next few weeks. It really will be a busy time.

So that is where we are at. It really is a “Patience” thing for all of us, but I’m sure with a little bit of work we can get there.

  2. I am so pleased to hear this (and glad that Josh seemed to have a good time in Japan- been stalking his fb). It really does seem like a big test of patience but I am sure you will all get there eventually and Kirsten will be on the mend in no time. Thinking of you all always, Love Brooke
